MEMBERS: As of September, 2011 there were 10 members in this poetry society.

MEETING DATES, TIME, AND PLACE: As many of the members are long distance, Crawford County Bombadils meet quarterly to plan events and programs for community outreach.

OFFICERS: President of the Crawford County Bombadils is Dawn Harmon who is also Vice President of Missouri State Poetry Society.

PROGRAMS: Members of the Crawford County Bombadils host annual community events to bring poetry to the masses. Some past events have been a Youth Poetry Contest with awards ceremony and opportunity for winners to share their poetry, and an open to the public Poet Speak for local artists to come and read their own work. In 2010, the Crawford County Bombadils were the hosting chapter of the annual state convention of Missouri State Poetry Society. Most recently the president has started sharing a monthly poetry workshop exercise via email with each member. Upon completion of the writing exercise, members are invited to share their end results with others, however, that is always optional. In this way the members each practice a little writing each month and avoid that dry season that all writers sometimes experience.
