This challenge was submitted by Diana Primus.

Challenge: Create a poem with a hidden message embedded in the text. The example Diana submitted is a "letter skip" (a.k.a coded poem).

Using the first letter of the poem (exclude the title), and count to the tenth letter, use it and count to ten again. Continue the process for the rest of the poem until you reveal the hidden message. In the example below, start with the first letter, k, then starting with the next letter count to ten, the letter n in onto. Using the next letter as number 1 and count to ten again, the letter o in hallow, etc., etc.

Kneel soft onto the hallow ground,
as weepy roses touch their heads,
and whisper to the sprouted dew,
How sad to see such loveliness
that lies amongst a shady oak.
Helpless she purged her silent pain."
The thorn crown laid upon her bed;
came there the two red lions in.
They cuddled in her lullaby,
as she tasted a rarest bliss,
only a baby will provide.
Not icy like a thorny crown.

Elite eagles will soar up high,
and sparkle in the radiance.
A secret in the stones will hide
the coward crowns illicitness.
Lia foil has waned to fates new bride;
a stone returned to Egypt land.
Then chimed a dew before a rose,
Caress your rare petals on us,
as we dew drops bow in her tears.

If you have decoded the poem correctly, you should reveal this secret message:
Know this well,
The stone will tell
The spare shall wear the crown
