| The National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS) hosts the BlackBerry Peach Poetry Prizes each year with a top prize of $1,000. In a unique format, the poets are judged on both their written poems and their spoken word performances. The 2018 first place winner is Rosemerry Trommer of Colorado, followed by Susan Chambers from Minnesota in second, and Ryan Jones of Georgia in third place. Betty Bleen of Ohio was honorable mention.
